The place had been chosen perfectly: the river where the Baptizm took place and a big glade for those who were present (about 200!) Many guests from Baptist Churches of our region came to congratulate our Church. The holiday consisted of two parts: Baptizm and the Fellowship of Love. Six new members joined our Church that day. Inkerman and the river Chornaya is a very significant place. In the times of emperor Trajan the Roman bishop Kliment was exiled there for his preaching about Jesus Christ. Apostles Peter and Paul were his teachers. Apostle Peter turned Kliment to Christianity, and the new believer accompanied Paul while preaching the Gospel to Philippians. Later Kliment was ordained to ministry as a bishop in Rome by apostle Peter himself. After being exiled to Chersonesus he turned many pagans to Christianity by his sermons and miracles performed and baptized them, probably, in the Chornaya river. No wonder those who were baptized were thrilled to answer the three essential questions "Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?", "Do you believe that your sins are forgiven?" and «Do you believe in eternal life?". Their answers were loud and firm: 'Yes, I do!" The Crimean episcope Benjamin Juhimets prayed over those who entered the holy covenant. He wished these new church members to be faithful. "May God become your Lord!" The pastors of the churches that were present also shared the Word of God. After the sermon we all had wonderful fellowship and there were a lot of activities for all ages. The youth enjoyed soccer and volleyball games, while others had warm fellowship and nice time together. Praise our Lord that we can be united in His Body no matter what age we are or what Bapist church we attend! We are united in His Love!
