On September, 11, 2010 in Sevastopol Open Hearts Church the studies within the framework of the project «School without walls» were renewed after the three years break. The speaker of a seminar «the History of the Church» was the pastor of the Church «Source of life» Alexander Zigalenko from Kremenchug. He’s the director of the Kremenchug Regional Bible College.
   The seminar became a significant event and a great blessing for Baptist Churches of all Sevastopol region. About 100 people from five Churches participated in it.
   Three main periods of the Church history were covered:

1. History of the early Church: the foundation and spread of Church in 1st century, persecutions and heresies in early Church, the fall of the Roman empire.
2. The medieval period: origin of Islam, church split in 1054, baptism of Russia, crusades.
3. Modern history of the Church: Reformation, origin of modern evangelical movements, the review of Catholicism and Orthodoxy.

   A.Zigalenko, getting acquainted with the students, mentioned that it took him about 20 years to think over the idea how to teach «the History of Church».  These deep thinking found reflection in the style and methods of teaching: the material was competently systematized, accessible to mastering.
The students who visited the seminar for the first time responded very highly of it. They all marked the great importance of such seminars and showed desire to continue their education.
Summarizing the event, we can say that Christian education is essential for the modern Church and for the personal spiritual growth of each Christian. The Scripture tells us to 'Watch your life and doctrine closely' (1 Timothy 4:16). "School without Walls" is a powerful instrument to help us fulfill what the Lord calls us to.
 Please pray for the development of the ministry of "School without Walls". May many more young people join this school and become dedicated ministers of our Lord.  Pray for the possibility of using not only off-line form of education, but also on line through the Internet.
